While I was conducting the research paper on the use of humour in Rush Hour I and how it addresses racial prejudices, I found out there are alot of racist jokes used in the film that would not be possible to air in today’s “woke” society in US and Hollywood and that why I wanted to make a reaction video about the racist jokes used in the film. However, reacting to the movie would be dull, I took inspiration from “The Entire Bee Movie But Every Time Say Bee It Gets Faster” on YouTube and edited it in a similar style to “Rush Hour But It Speeds Up By 100% Everytime There is a Racist Joke”. The edited film alone is hilarious since speeding up the movie makes the racist joke in the film have no context for interpretation, making it very racist for people who would never watch the movie. On top of that, I have an idea of making my reaction to the film by explaining the jokes (which are very lame and unfunny) while yapping through the whole video. My aim for this project is to make a genuine reaction video that is very boring and unbearable as nowadays you can find a lot of scripted and overreacting reaction videos on the internet that would not be how a normal human reacts to any media. I would consider this a use of Anti-humour humour devices which the the level of boring of the reaction video and explaining joke would add a layer of humour to the video. Please do not be serious about this project or else the fun and jokes would be on you but not my video.
